Maple Snow Candy

If there’s one thing we know it’s that there’s no shortage of snow on the horizon! And while many of us can’t wait for warmer temps (with a drink in our hand!) we might as well have fun with the cold while it’s here!

We saw a super easy way to make Maple Snow Candy and knew we had to try it out for ourselves! The catch? You have to use Real Maple Syrup. Thankfully we sell it in our shop and online so we’re all set!

The steps are simple and this is a super fun activity the whole family can enjoy!

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 Pint Jar of Real Maple Syrup

  2. 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  3. Freshly Fallen Snow

  4. 8 Wooden Popsicle Sticks

Directions

  1. Pour the Maple Syrup into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook the Maple Syrup until it reaches 135ºF on a Candy Thermometer.

  2. Remove from heat and stir in the Cinnamon.

  3. Bring the Syrup to the Snow (outside) or the Snow to the Syrup (in a bowl inside)! Pour about 2 tablespoons of Syrup in a strip on the snow. Allow to cool for 10-15 seconds then wind the strip around the Wooden Popsicle Stick to create a lollipop! If you desire, you can shape the Candy on the stick once it’s cool to the touch. Can be eaten cold or warm.
